Voice Workshop with The Munich Sessions: 2PM

Sat, Jun 18
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Munich Sessions

Are you ready to turn your manuscript or book into an audiobook but don’t know where to start? Do you want to get into voice acting or audiobook narration? What about starting a podcast?

Join us April 24th when we take you to the Munich Sessions for an intensive one hour workshop led by audio production guru, Patrick Thompson.

This event will be split into three one hour sessions. You’ll learn the basics of voice, how to speak into the microphone, and see insight into how a track goes from a rough voice into a market ready audio file.

The workshop fee covers hourly studio rental.

Here’s what the workshop will look like:
Arrive at the Munich Sessions at least ten minutes before your selected time (1, 2, or 3 pm)
Jessica will greet you at the gate five minutes before your session and bring you to the studio.
Patrick will introduce you to his workshop goals, show you the recording space, give tips for speaking and understanding terminology that turns off listeners like vocal fry, etc.

Each person will get to record a quick snippet of one minute or less. (Think a vocal bio or small piece you need for social media work.)
Patrick will play the rough track back where the group can hear the audio and his feedback.

Each group is limited to five people per session. Since we will be in a studio, **late entry will not be permitted**, and unfortunately, we cannot mix you into the next group due to time and space. Please be on time. For everyone who has gone through the business plan workshop, this is a great exercise in key resources and activities!
